Build independence in Prestwich
From trips into the village to journeys across Greater Manchester, learning to drive in Prestwich can open up new possibilities. ACME School of Motoring helps you build that independence with calm, personalised lessons. Whether you are starting from scratch or returning after time away, our patient, DVSA-approved instructors welcome all genders and ages and help you develop confidence at a comfortable pace.
From residential streets to main roads
Prestwich offers a mix of residential roads and busier connections towards Whitefield, Crumpsall and North Manchester. As you progress, lessons can introduce different junctions, changing speed limits and the planning needed around parked cars. We develop observation and anticipation before adding more complex situations. Send us your M25 postcode to discuss pickup from a suitable location and a schedule around your commitments.
A thoughtful approach to test preparation
When you are ready to prepare for your practical test, your instructor can discuss your chosen centre, including Cheetham Hill. Mock tests help identify skills that need more practice, while independent driving develops confident navigation. We concentrate on safe decisions and consistent habits rather than promising a particular test route or result. Those skills remain useful long after you pass.
Manual skills or automatic simplicity
If you choose manual tuition, you will gradually build clutch control, gear selection and smooth stopping and starting. Automatic lessons let you develop road judgement without managing a clutch. Both options include clear explanations, manoeuvre practice and feedback you can act on. Let us know your goals so that we can help you choose the right style of lesson.
Flexible packages for Prestwich learners
Our manual hourly rate is £35 and the automatic rate is £40, with lessons lasting at least 1.5 hours. Ten-hour packages cost £335 manual or £385 automatic and must be paid in advance. Larger discount bundles, ten-hour crash courses and five-hour refresher packs offer other options. Prices depend on your pickup area; contact us on WhatsApp to check availability and confirm details.
